HOLDS

In order to register, your account must be free of any active holds. Some common holds that prevent registration include, but are not limited to, Advising Holds, Bursar Holds, Financial Aid Holds, and Library Holds.

ADVISING HOLDS

Honors Advising hold:  Honors will place a hold on your account if you don’t schedule an appointment with your advisor before registration.

Major Advising Hold: If you are a lower sophomore and you have an advisement hold, you MUST make an appointment for advisement in your major, even though you have been advised by the Honors Program. (Honors advisors cannot lift these holds.) Contact information for your major advisor can be found in the course bulletin or on the website pages of your discipline.

BURSAR HOLDS

  • Please be sure you have completed your FAFSA/TAP applications for the current academic year (2022/2023).

  • Please be sure all past bills, including student fees, have been paid.

  • If your Bursar hold is related to your Honors stipend, please contact your advisor.

MACAULAY STUDENTS ONLY

  • If you have a bursar hold, please make sure you have completed your FAFSA/TAP applications and paid your student fees, since outstanding payment will prevent placement of your tuition waiver.  Once those tasks are complete, notify your Macaulay advisor who will make sure your correct tuition waiver has been placed. If you have been selected for Verification, you will have to wait for the completion of that process before your fall tuition can be posted.
